CTET 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the registrations for the 18th edition Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024 January session. Eligible candidates can apply online for CTET January 2024 exam through the official website ctet.nic.in till 23 November 2023. CTET exam is conducted for the minimum qualification for teacher recruitment from class 1st to 8th.
CTET January 2024 Notification
The CTET 2024 Notification for the January session has been announced on the CBSE’s official website. Prior to November 23, 2023, aspiring candidates for CTET Papers 1 or 2 can complete the necessary application form formalities. Individuals who fulfill the basic eligibility criteria will receive an invitation to appear for the CTET exam scheduled on January 21, 2024, during the January 2024 session.
CTET Exam 2024 January
CBSE conducts CTET exam twice every year. The first examination is held in the month of June-July and the second in the month of December-January. Successful candidates participating in CTET Paper-1 will be considered eligible for teacher recruitment for class 1st to class 5th. Whereas the successful candidates appearing in Paper-2 will be considered eligible for teacher recruitment for classes 6th to 8th. Candidates who pass this examination can apply for appointment to the post of teachers in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya and Army schools across the country.

CTET January 2024 Exam Date
CBSE CTET exam will be conducted in two shifts on Sunday, January 21, 2024. The first shift will run from 9:30 am to 12 noon for Paper-I and the second shift will run from 2:00 pm to 04 pm for Paper-II. Candidates are advised to report at the exam center one hour before the commencement of the examination.

- Go to the link “Apply for CTET-Jan2024” and click on it.
- Now fill the online application form carefully.
- Upload the scanned documents, photo and signature.
- Now pay the application fees through UPI or Net banking.
- Finally submit the form and take a print for records.

CTET 2024 Qualifying Marks
CTET Minimum Passing Marks – For General category, you should get at least 90 marks out of 150 (60 percent), while for SC, ST, you should get 82 marks out of 150 (55 percent).

CTET Certificate Validity
The TET – Teachers Eligibility Test qualifying certificate has been extended from 7 years to a lifetime, effective from 2011. There are no restrictions on the number of attempts one can make to obtain a CTET Certificate. Candidates who have successfully cleared the CTET Exam can also retake the exam to enhance their scores. Consequently, the CTET Certificate now holds lifelong validity, with no defined expiration period.
