UGC NET December 2023 Exam Notification
The National Testing Agency has announced the UGC NET December 2023 notification on their official website. The notification for the UGC NET exam in December 2023 was released on September 30, 2023. According to the official notice, the UGC NET December 2023 exam will take place from December 6 to 22, 2023.
The UGC NET is a test conducted twice a year to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for the positions of ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian universities and colleges. UGC NET June 2024 exam (session 1) will be held from June 10 to June 21, 2024.

UGC NET 2023 Exam Date
The official exam date for UGC NET December 2023 has been declared by the National Testing Agency. Candidates who want to apply for the National Eligibility Test should know that the exam will be conducted online through the Computer Based Test mode from 06 to 22 December 2023.
The exam will be held in two shifts, from 09:00 am to 12:00 noon and from 03:00 pm to 06:00 pm. The duration of the paper will be 03 hours.
UGC NET 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have at least 55% marks in their Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities, Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science, etc.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PWD/Transgender category must have a minimum of 50% marks in their Master’s Degree or equivalent examination.
- Ph.D. degree holders who completed their Master’s level examination by 19 September 1991 (regardless of the result declaration date) are eligible for a 5% relaxation in aggregate marks for appearing in NET.
